Kanha National Park

Area: 940 sq. km

Best time to visit: April to June and November to January The park remains closed from July to October.

Species found: Tiger, panther, gaur, barasingha, chital, sambar, nilgai, blackbuck, chousingha, barking deer, mouse deer, nilgai, wild dog, boar.

How to reach: Nagpur (266 <ms) is the nearest airport and Jabalpur (175 kms) is the most convenient railhead for Kanha. Kanha is connected by road with Jabalpur, Nagpur, Raipur. Distances within the Park are Koshi Kanha 9 kms, Kisli Katia 4 kms, Kisli Mukki 32 kms.

Where to stay: Kanha Safari Lodge, Baghira Log Huts and Tourist Hostel of MPSTDC, Kanha Jungle Lodge and Wild Chalet Resort.
