Introduction
The twin states of Jammu
and Kashmir are situated at the northernmost tip of India.

place on earth by many travellers and poets. The state is dotted
with various hill stations each with excellent facilities. J&K
has beautiful valleys, mountains, springs, gardens, waterfalls,
rivers and religious shrines. J&K has unique handicrafts like
Pashmina shawls, silk carpets, paper mache items and wicker baskets.
Further up north, the
Leh and Ladakh districts are primarily Buddhist with serene
monasteries and snow clad mountains.
