WHAT TO SEE

Har-ki-Pauri

Haridwar’s most sacred ghat for pilgrims wanting to take a holy dip in the Ganges.  Every 12 years the Kumbh Mela is held here.

Canal Centenary Bride

Commands an excellent view of the ghats and the Ganga canal.

Parmarth Ashram

6 km. The ashram has beautiful idols and images of the Goddess Durga.

Daksh Mahadev Temple and Sati
Kund, Kankhal

3 km.  One of the five sacred places around Haridwar.  The others are Ganga, Kushwart, Bilwa, Tirtha and Neel Parvat.

Pawan Dham

Has an ashram known for its Hanuman Mandir made with pieces of glass.

Bharat Mata Mandir

6 km. The Mandir has many images and idols of sages and great men.

Doodhadhari Temple

This is a temple all in white hence the name.

Manav Kalyan Ashram

Depicts all the 24 avatars of God and is a religious centre.

Mansa Devi Temple

It is a religious center to which pilgrims flock.

Chandi Devi

It has many temples within its precincts.  Other temples in this area are gauri Shankar, Neeleshwar Mahadev and Anjani Devi.
