LET'S START WITH SOME SIGHTSEEING...

Vidhana Soudha. This magnificent building was conceived and executed by Chief Minister Kengal Hanumanthaiya in 1956, in the neo-Dravidian style and built entirely from Bangalore granite. On weekend evenings and public holidays, the building is floodlit, illuminating the surrounding gardens.

Attara Kacheri. Across the Vidhana Soudha is the attara kacheri or the '18 Courts', built in 1864. This elegant two-storied building with fluted Corinthian columns, houses the High Court.

In the heart of the city is the Cubbon Park, 300 acres of lush green. Laid out by Lieutenant General Sir Mark Cubbon in 1864.
