Road
Rangat (170 Km), Mayabunder (242km) both in the Middle Andaman are connected to Port
Blair through the Andaman Trunk Road. State Transport Service operates direct express bus
services from Port Blair to and from Rangat and Mayabunder.
The buses pass through dense forests and Jarawa Tribal Reserve and there is a restriction for
travellers to disembark in the reserved forest.
Buses are also available for Diglipur (290 kms.) which includes crossing of three creeks by boat.
Private buses are available from Port Blair. Buses leave from Central
Bus Stand, Port Blair.
