ENTRY FORMALITIES

FOREIGNERS

Foreign nationals can get a 30 day permit to stay at the islands of their arrival at Port Blair from the immigration authorities. In  addition, permits can be obtained from  

(a) Indian Mission Overseas. 

(b) Foreigners Registration Office at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai anal Calcutta. 

(c) The immigration authorities at the airports of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Calcutta. 

(d) and from the Director, Ministry of Home Affairs (ANL Division), Govt. of India, II Floor, North-Block, New Delhi - 110001  through Indian Mission atleast 3 months in advance. 

The permit for night halt is valid for a month in: 

 (a) South Andaman including Port Blair  

(b) Havelock Island 

(c) Neil Island  

(d) Baratang Island  

(e) North Passage Island 

(f) Long Islands  

(g) Diglipur 

(h) Middle Andaman  

(i) Little Andaman excluding tribalreserve areas.

This permit allows a day's visit toplaces like

(a) Ross Island

(b) Interview Island

(c) Sister Island

(d) Narcondum Island

(e) Brother Island

(f) Barren Island (only on vessels)
