"Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of India's Independence"

Over $4000 in scholarship prizes will be awarded to students demonstrating creativity, clarity and sincerity in expressing their relationship to Indian culture. For example, first place prize in the college category is a roundtrip ticket to India as part of our ROOTS program (a guided tour of India).
First, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category will be announced. Winners’ names and entries will be published in our Freedom Festival souvenior, posted on the World Wide Web, and submitted to newspapers serving the Indian community.
