In Three Continents In 1929 Maharshi
Karve visited several countries in the continents of Europe, America and Asia. During this
tour he attended the International Conference on Education at Elsinore. In Berlin he
exchanged views on education with the world-famous scientist Einstein. In Japan he paid a
visit to the Womens University. And all the time the work of collecting
funds for his institutions went on. In that tour after meeting all expenses of his travel,
he had a balance of about fifteen thousand rupees for his institutions.
He toured the countries of the African Continent and
collected thirty-four thousand rupees for his institutions. |
